A scent that evokes the creamy, opalescent surface of the moon and the copal, florid nature of the abyss ripped open when looked at for too long.

‘Lunatic’—of ‘lunacy’, translated literally as ‘of the moon’ while applicably of pejorative use toward a person of ‘extravagant folly’, whose intermittent bouts of upset and derangement are dictated by the waxing and waning of the Moon. Unsurprisingly, the common usage of the terms finds its roots in misogyny, and has been used to denigrate radical thinkers, deep feelers, and anyone whose behaviour fell out of line from patriarchal ideas of what and who is rational. In French, you would say that a ‘lunatic’ is ‘dans la lune’—’in the moon’, same as one might have their head in the clouds.

In this olfactory interpretation of the lunar effect, we choose to strip the word of its corrupted and oppressive connotation, and instead lean into the lunarian motions of feeling profoundly, speaking expressively, and dreaming abundantly, dancing beneath the Moon’s glow in reverence.

A Must Have

I got the sampler pack and I truly didn't think les lunatiques would be MY Scent, but it truly is, it smells like Home and Warmth, like coming home from a fall day and curling up with a hot drink by a window to watch the colour's of the leaves change. It gives me the perfect feeling of quiet comfortable companionship and it's been exceptionally helpful in getting me closer to my crush, truly, could not ask for a more perfect scent <3

Opalescent Wonder

Les Lunatiques is probably my most-worn fragrance, and yet I still can't fully wrap my head around it. Depending on the day, I could use any combination of the following words to describe it: creamy, sweet, floral, musky, resinous, woody, powdery, spicy, ambery. Some days I get mostly a delicate white floral, other days it's more resinous and rich. Some days it's even a bit tart and metallic. It's somehow warm and cold at the same time, sensual yet lonely. I don't understand it but I love it. Perfect for a contemplative night in solitude, when I feel most in sync with the moon (I'm a Cancer okay, I love a good moody broody evening in my feels). Complex and unique, I would absolutely recommend Les Lunatiques if you plan to sample from LVNEA.

Sultry, Sexy, La Lune

The description of this scent is entirely accurate. I can see the way it encourages a maddening and "lunatic" sense, I also sense such a sultry and almost erotic/arousing feeling that comes from it. It's subtly powerful, it's the scent of someone who knows what they are doing, where they are going and how. It's extremely attractive and feels like I am being lured into someone's private den for a long night of talks, wine and music with (sexual or not) tension in the air. This smell is definitely ruled by the Moon.

An absolute favorite

This was love at first breath. So many layers of scent over the course of the day, it starts out a bit forward and floral but as it gets subtler and richer as the day wears on. It’s my go to fragrance for the cooler months. I absolutely adore it!
